Selection of Hair
Hairs of the highest quality are sourced from different areas. Natural hair is usually shaved from women’s head and tied as a single piece in different lengths. Hairs in different lengths and sizes are assorted, segregated and sold at different prices.
Arranging of Hair
The thickness percentage of the hair is determined by the style and maintenance of the person who offer the hair. Some women prefer to have long hair and some have a mix of long and short hair. Arranging of the hair is to ensure the hair is even.
Washing of Hair
The arranged hair is soaked in a solution of conditioners and detergents to remove the dirt, oil and other dust particles. Usually the hair is soaked in oil to give more weight while selling. The soaked hair is then washed in water several times until it is clean and sent for drying
Drying
Sunlight is essential for proper drying. The washed hair is sun dried for several hours to make sure the hair becomes soft. It is preferred not to use the heater to dry as it gives an odd odor on the hair. Though sun drying makes for almost 10 – 15% of weight loss after washing, it is easier to identify the texture of hair after proper drying.
Hackling
Hackling is a process to arrange the hair evenly according to the sizes. All short hair removed from the pieces is arranged for further process. Only trained professionals can do this job. Extreme care is taken in this process to avoid mixing of head and end of the hair. The top and end of the hair should be arranged in the same direction only then it is remy hair. A small mistake could become a disaster. The percentage loss is approximately 10 – 15%
Stocking
The hackled and arranged hair is stocked in racks of different sizes for further process like wefting, coloring, bleaching, etc. These are also known as ready stock and this is what is available at any time. From this inventory, hair is selected for any other process. The total weight loss from purchase of raw hair until this stage is around 30% or even more.
Colour Stripping & Dyeing
All colour is removed from the hair. This enables the hair to retain its new colour better. The hair is then dyed a specific shade.
Prepared and Packaged
Depending on the type of hair extension the hair is made into , the hair is prepared and then packaged to be distributed to customers, salons
1. Mesure & Checking:
The hair after the application and delivery bill will be processed and final checked to ensure the standards and specifications that customers require and also to protect the hair during shipping
2. Packaging:
Hair after mesuring & checking will be packed carefully before being deliveried
3. Delivery to shipping agency:
Hair after being packed will be transported to the warehouse of the shipping company and will be stored in the best environment.
4. Delivery to Customers:
The shipping company will be responsible for shipping the hair to customers’ hands. This process will also be continuously monitored by Jenhair to avoid possible risks.
